I'm a multimedia journalist and recent graduate of Queen's University. Born in London, raised and living in NYC. Weaknesses include underdogs, hence my undying love for the Mets, and hot chocolate.
I was raised by two journalists, but never seriously considered going into journalism until I started contributing to the Queen's Journal as a women's soccer beat writer. That turned into photography contribution, which turned into a position as Assistant News Editor in January 2014. I became News Editor of Volume 142 in May.
Over the summer, I interned at the Kingston Whig-Standard, where I earned 38 bylines and saw some of my articles picked up by the QMI Agency and reprinted in publications including the Toronto Sun.
I tweet and use LinkedIn. Here's where you'll find my journalistic work, but if you're looking for my photography, you can find it blogged here and on my website. You can also email me: chloe.sobel[at]gmail.com.
